We would like to take this time to warn everyone that tonight’s episode will feature some potentially triggering content such as suicide, abuse, self-medication and mental health; just to name a few. We strongly advise that anyone who may find any of this content triggering or harmful avoid the “Echo House” tag on Tumblr.
This is very considerate for a social media blog that usually isn’t, so thank you for this! Might put a warning before the episode preview next time too since he featured a hanging?
HAPPENING NOW [VERY IMPORTANT]: Venezuela’s soldiers are killing their people. The Government is sending their armed gangs to kill them and they have censored all the media in their country, even blocking photos posted on social media sites. They shut down all the cable channels that broadcast news, so they can’t know what’s going on. The people have no source of protection at all. Students are protesting to save their country and their lives at this very moment. All they have are their social networks to get the word out so, PLEASE RE-BLOG THIS AND SPREAD THE WORD. VENEZUELA IS ON THE BRINK OF A CIVIL WAR AND CLOSE TO BECOMING A FULL COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP. THEIR PEOPLE NEED YOUR HELP. —— Please, this is very important to me, one of my closest friends went to visit family in Venezuela over winter break and they won’t let him come back to Florida. We’re graduating in a few months and it hurts me to know that his baseball career and all of his hard work and dedication to his grades here in the U.S. was all for nothing. Please.

one of my friends is in the middle of this shit right now and it’s terrifying, she said their twitters are getting blocked so they can’t share info, their murder rate is the second highest in the world and none of the murderers go to jail because they’re government supporters, they can’t find basic household items or food in their supermarkets, their economy has plummeted, inflation increased over 50% in the two months since 2014 started, airlines have basically left the country because the govt owes them so much money, they have no access to cars or car parts, they can’t cross any borders because their govt controls them and no one is helping them.
it is fucking pissing me off that no one is helping them when they’re asking for it and need it so much. And I am so frustrated that theres not more I can do than share things like this to spread the word, that I just have to hope enough people see it that something gets done.
I am so glad this has reached other countries. Venezuela is fighting!
Oh wow! I’m so glad this has reached other countries!
The government is censoring everything, the internet is the only mass media communication we have left so far, and not even at full lenght since twitter has seemed to be crashing down and some news pages have been blocked.
Today (February 20) there are helicopters flying over the capital cities, yesterday the national army chased and shot students from around 9pm to over past 1am, there are several wounded and unconfirmed deaths, it’s all caught on tape and the videos are available on youtube. (I posted them yesterday, I can’t find them anymore).
These videos and images are our only evidence against the government’s repression, since they claim it’s all media manipulation and say we don’t have any evidence. The only way you guys can actually help us is spreading information and sending this information to the local media in your city, be it tv, newspaper, radio or the internet (if you can).
Like I said in my other posts, I can’t really say Venezuela is fighting anymore, the national guard is gunning us down, i’d say it’s a pretty uneven fight at least. Help us spread the word!
Seeing this makes me so happy because Venezuela has had revolts like these in the past but the government shuts the media down so that no one finds out about it. The only news network left for Venezuelans to watch is CNN, and even they’re going to get kicked off soon.
Guys, Venezuela needs your help! The surrounding countries (including the US) that have sworn to protect democracy and rid the world of communism are doing absolutely nothing. Our families are fighting not only for their freedom of speech, but also for their freedom to live. Because of the inflation, it’s nearly impossible to find such common goods as toilet paper, milk, pads, paper towels, anything. And this isn’t because of the revolt, this is on a daily basis.
I’m tired of seeing my family have to deal with this shitty government that keeps giving away their oil and money to other communist countries. I’m tired of having to worry about whether or not everyone in my family is smart enough to stay off the streets at night because they might get killed. And most importantly, I’m exhausted of being too scared to visit my family and my beautiful country.
Please help, please reblog this. Let people know that what’s happening in Venezuela isn’t just another revolt, it’s a fight for freedom. There are so many people, and not just in the US, that don’t know anything about Venezuela just because it’s in South America. Let’s change that.
